Hoje é dia de feira / The food project
Apresento o que até o momento, acredito eu, será meu projeto de vida inteira. Desde a primeira fotografia em outubro de 2010, não parei mais. E como o projeto cresceu, o título também vem mudando.
Adoro as feiras de rua do Rio de Janeiro, mas só comecei a fotografar por conta de outro projeto. A receptividade da maioria das pessoas foi tanta que voltei e resolvi transformar em um projeto próprio.
A primeira feira foi a do Andaraí, típica feira de rua. A segunda não é uma feira de rua, mas traz a mesma energia, o Mercado de peixe São Pedro em Niteroi. A terceira traz duas das três feiras do meu bairro, Grajaú. Agora apresento uma feira móvel, realizada num ônibus e por isso mesmo um dos meus maiores desafios neste projeto.
Here is what I believe is going to be my lifetime project. Since the first picture taken in October 2010, I could never stop. And as the project grew, the title also changed.
I love the street markets of Rio de Janeiro, but I only started taking pictures on behalf of another project. The response of most of the workers was such that I returned and decided to turn it into a project of its own.
The first one I showed was Andaraí, that sells farmers food. The second is not held onthe street, but has the same vibe. It's São Pedro, a famous fish market in Niteroi City. On the third, I present you two of the three street markets from my neighborhood, Grajaú. Now I introduce the Mobile Grocery, held on a bus and therefore one of my biggest challenges in this project.
